Jon and Amy Pattillo, native Austinites, launched Fat Caddy Records in the spring of 2004 by signing singer-songwriter Austin Collins. The roster has since grown to include artists Black Water Gospel, Macon Greyson, The Band of Heathens, and most recently, Brian Keane.
As Fat Caddy grows, the primary goals stay the same: (1) provide tools and support for artists, so those artists can do what they were created to do, full-time; (2) keep things in-house when possible to reduce costs for artists; and (3) support and give back to the incredible legacy of live music coming from Austin, Texas.
The Fat Caddy team continues to grow, currently including Natalie Darrah (Public Relations and Promotions), Matt Adams (web development), Brooke Baker (graphic designer), Emily Salas (promotions) and Stephanie Green (merchandise management). Ty Schlegel provides additional logistical support and project management for new releases. Darren Cameron handles label relations and tour support in the Houston area.
In the fall of 2007, Fat Caddy Records is scheduled to release Macon Greyson’s fourth album 20th Century Accidents. 2008 will include new releases from both Austin Collins and Brian Keane.
In addition, in March 2007, Fat Caddy Records is launching Fat Caddy Merchandise & Design which specializes in lifestyle marketing, web solutions, tour promotion and complete merchandise services.
Fat Caddy Records is currently accepting demos.
